“This is the solstice, the still point
of the sun, its cusp and midnight,
the year’s threshold
and unlocking, where the past
lets go of and becomes the future"
Margaret Atwood, Eating Fire: Selected Poetry 1965-1995
We have been blessed with the most exquisite weather for the last two months: apart from a few days of snow and the usual grey day from time to time, it's been a time of deep blue skies and warm sun, raw evenings among the volcanoes, and hot trail runs so I'm saying goodbye to 2015 with a touch of melancholy as the new year seems to be a bringer of average climatic conditions.
I hope to be more present here on the blog in 2016. I've got a few projects in mind and I can tell you already two recipes are coming your way, among them a divine spread which is heavenly addictive.
Happy New Year!
